Lip Blushing
PRECAUTIONS
- If you are prone to cold sores, it is highly advised that you take an antiviral medication (such as Zovirax, Famirax, or Valtrex) 3-5 days before your procedure.
- If you have had any type of lip surgery, you will need to consult with your physician in regards to how long you should wait before having PMU done. If the surgery includes an incision (ex. lip implants), the incision will need to mature 6 months before the PMU procedure can be started.
- Fillers: It is advised that 3 weeks have gone by since the last injection has been done. Please consult with your injector to get a more accurate time frame.
- Oral prosthesis, dentures/partials, braces, and lip/tongue piercings may increase the risk of an infection. Proceed with caution.
- Frequent or recent sinus infections can put the lips at risk of infection.
- Recent antibiotic therapy can be responsible for a high candida (yeast) count. Steroid medications and antacid drugs can allow yeast to overpopulate. Smokers also tend to carry a higher rate of candida.
